Yeah, scientist also belive the world was formed when a rock
hit the earth and span it into orbit, this just so happened
to make the days 24 hours long, which gives the whole
surface of the earth the same time, perfectly spinning
around the sun at which point the moon spins round and
compltely covers the earth from the sun perfectly, not to
mention other MAJOR coincerdances like other planets lining
up perfectly.

Dont you see?.. -- if it wasn't 24 hours which makes up a
day, life wouldn't have been able to occur, because it would
be unbalanced.

How can you say you belive scinetist when from your personal
experince when you know hardly anything about this subject.
Your aiming blindingly into something you belive you have no
perosnal experiance with.

I dont mind you belive scientists over me, but atleast gain
some knowledge of the topic first - you will be suprised how
illogical scientists are on this perticular subject.

i was under the impression that Earth (and all other planets
in the solar system for that matter) was formed by left over
dust and debris from the big bang (a theory that is now
being doubted by many) were compressed together under
gravitational force, but there you go.

and the Earth doesn't spin exactly on its axis, hence we get
ice ages.

wait a minute, we are supposed to take your word for it?
instead of people who know a lot about the subject?

ok.

argument would have occured.

we only have 24 hours in a day because we said so. hours,
minutes and seconds are a man-made concept.

bob

well that would be a good logical reason for breeds dying
out, which supports my own personal theory to belive that
its a cover up ;).

I completely don't understand most of your first paragraph.
About that lining up of planets, I believe Neptune is not
lined up with the rest, a that rest is faaar from perfect.
Even if it was perfect, just look at the rings around
Saturn, it's a common thing. Why? I don't know, I didn't
really care about solving those gravitational equations on
my uni. I just passed Practical Physics with minimum
positive grade.

but new breeds (read species) evolve daily, whilst old
species die out on a regular basis too.

i didn't say all the planets line up, but our planet and the
moon are perfectly in orbit giving the chance for life to
live.

"I completely don't understand most of your first
paragraph."
read it again?.. or if you don't understand it that time,
perhaps not comment on it?

bob
im not disputing that, but its funny how a whole race can
just disapear like that.

a whole race doesn't just disappear like that.

examples please?

And now for my atheistic theory. You say it's strange that
such a concidence (of the moon;s rotation axis being
perpendicular to the ecliptic) is hard to believe.

Well I say, that if it didn't happen, than you wouldn't be
able to have these doubts, would you?

Let's say you have couple of million planets in our Milky
Way alone. And this coincidence happens to ten of them (very
probable given the fact that they are not axactly
perpendicular afaik). And on one of them an intelligent life
develops. And an individual has this doubt of yours. How
does it look?

Well, it isn't axactly atheistic, it's agnostic and
rational.

you do know how to use the follow-up feature don't you?

Firstly,

"a whole race doesn't just disappear like that.

examples please?"

If you was following the conversation you would know what i
was on about.
But as your too lazy to do that, ill say it for you right
now. THE EVIDANCE OF THE RACE FROM MONKEYS TO HUMANS. There
is no evidance.

"And now for my atheistic theory. You say it's strange that
such a concidence (of the moon;s rotation axis being
perpendicular to the ecliptic) is hard to believe.

Well I say, that if it didn't happen, than you wouldn't be

Well, i've thought about this, its possible since its so
large -- but i also feel scientists are wrong, or that they
are just covering up the truth of what they belive. The
majority of people in the world do no belive beings are out
there, this is because the higher people ( e.g. scientists )
have not suggested it. And i heavily dislike that, i go by
my own knowledge not by what im told.

"you do know how to use the follow-up feature don't you?"

No i don't, feel free to enlighten me of this feature.

humans evolved from an aquatic ape, theres your missing
species.

missing link

plenty to read there. loads of links.

but while on the subject, where is the link between reptiles
and birds? was this missing breed wiped out?
no.

some evolve, some don't. mutation of genes doesn't happen to
all memebers of a species, only select individuals. some
mutations are beneficial and are retained, others offer no
reproductive/survival benefits and are therefore tossed out
of the equation.

Believe me, scientists are not covering the truth of what
they believe. Of course I don't have any proof for that, but
I don't think I don't need to provide any, let's behave like
adults shall we?

you do know how to use the follow-up feature don't
you?

I don't find a need for this feature, I can keep track of
thousands od Q&A at a time. Or am I missing the point?

i've read that if a human stepped foot on venus, they would
be crushed by the gravity and suffocated instantly. Whats
left of the body would be disintegrated by the acid in the
air.

"scientist also belive the world was formed when a rock hit
the earth and span it into orbit, this just so happened to
make the days 24 hours long"

hahah, that's the funniest thing i've read in a long time!
:D

an "hour" is a man-made measure of time. they took the
length of time between sun rises and divided it by 24.

the world was formed when a rock hit the earth

it doesn't make sense...

This sentence reminds me of Turkish Star Wars "Dunyayi
kurtaran adam" which may the worst movie ever made.
Extremely funny.

Anyway, in the beginning of the movie the narrator unrolls
the history of the future.

I'll just quote the subs:
"Thousands years they lived this way."
"Space age had been passed, now began the galaxy age."
"Thousands of years passed and earth's planet system..."
"...turned into the galaxy system."
"Civilizations and history had become past."
"Man adopted a simple life as in primitive ages."
"And with all their power they initiated..."
"...relentless struggle to find immortality."
"Earth nations, civilizations, race..."
"...and religions became one."
"There was only one human life form and tribe..."
"...in the galaxy age."
"Earth was facing the danger of extinction..."
"...as a result of a crazy nuclear armament."
"Earth had avoided such dangers a couple of times before;"
"...not a single force had been able to destroy the earth."
"However, in some cases, earth had been disintegrated into
parts."
"Parts which fragmented off the earth had become meteor in
space."
"On some planets life was still going on."
"However the nuclear war gained momentum."
"For the sake of the rulers becoming more powerful..."
"...while the beautiful and happy world was madly
destroyed..."
"...suddenly Earth came across a mysterious, strong enemy."
"Our world, formed into matter from rays and energy..."
"...five billion years ago;"
"got fragmented into dust by laser rays in the galaxy
age.."
"Who was this enemy? From which galaxy was he?"
"Humans used one single weapon against this danger."
"They started to resist with a shield welded..."

offline QRDL from Poland on 2005-08-31 13:17 [#01711355]

"...with human brain and willpower."
"A coating formed by..."
"...compressed human brain molecules protected the Earth."
"Earth was turning into dust under every attack..."
"...and was hiding behind the protecting shield."
"A weapon to breach this shield could only be
constructed..."
"...with human brain and will power."
"But however strong their weapons,"
"...the enemies of the earth did not have brains."
"The value of the world and the humans in infinity...
"...was the greatest weapon."
"Not a single human warrior..."
"...sent to find this unknown enemy returned."
"Human tribes united and tried to find a solution."
"The only solution was to find the enemy and fight with
it."
"Two strongest and greatest Turkish warriors..."
"...and others, sailed into space..."
"...and declared war to the unknown enemy."
"Some humans did not get involved in this war."
"But every human able to combine imagination with
reasoning..."
"...was determined to join and win this war."
