i think "garage rock" was sparked off after the so called
'british invasion' (e.g. beatles, kinks, rolling stones), so
there'll probably be more in the 70s rather than the 60s.

"Inspired by British Invasion bands like The Beatles, The
Kinks, The Who and The Rolling Stones, these groups played a
homespun variation on British Invasion rock."

- from the
wiki-wiki-wiki-wiki....

i wasn't far off :D

i have an awful rip of raw power..any idea how original
sounds? i bet it's row as well, but this rip is so high
pitched at moments it gets a bit noisy..must look for a
better copy :)

the Raw Power CD i have is Iggy's remastered version. the
volume is incredibly loud and distorted. it's fucking
great. the original record mix sounds pretty normal
rockish.

is that what you mean? or is the speed wrong?

JD Rouges, The troggs,

Check out the TEENAGE SHUTDOWN 12 vinyl set. It`s really
cool meng, they took a bunch of 45`s and put them onto 12`s.
They rock meng,

LAZY_TITLE

I got 3 of them on vinyl, when I get my moving done I can
make mp3`s of them for you if you want! Just email me meng!

Damn it, a lot of stuff I was going to mention is in that
list! Some great stuff there, even though some of it really
isn't garage rock at all. Some more balls-to-the-wall basic
60s rockers (some aren't garage by strict definition but it
doesn't matter)

The Birds (NOT the Byrds)
The Pink Fairies
Leaf Hound
The Trashmen
The Churchills
The Sonics
Them
Sleepy John
Kak
Short Cross
Ford Theatre
Shadows of Knight
The Fugs
