when this came out, i hardly listened to it. giving it
another crack right now, a lot better than my initial
impression of it. especially the title track.

i know we've had opinions of this shitloads before, but
hey.

what about anyone else? are there any albums that you
thought were total shit when they came out? only to find at
a later date were actually great?

older releases (i didn't hear them at the time of their
release) which i heard within the first year or so of
listening to electronica weren't to my taste. now i like
them quite a bit

autechre's amber, aphex twin's selected ambient works, black
dog productions' bytes

I listened to this once to be honest. I might have listened
to Iambic 9 poetry more than once but thats about it if my
memory serves correct.

Same with the AE release "untilted" i listed to the first
track and half of the second. I guess i lost interest.

hehe, sorry I was just trying to remember an album.

yeah I guess LFO - Frequencies, I HATED that album when i
first heard it. Now I think it's an essential, it's so
great.

also Go! PLastic. You can browse my posts and find comments
where I say go plastic is so shit.. and some posts later
when I call people stupid idiots for saying GP is shit.

I guess some of Cylob (lobster or sunset or both, mu-ziq
royal astronomy).

and probably a lot others non IDM related.

this might be a sign that i should check out untilted again.
from my first impression it just sounded too flat and
unimaginative [in autechre terms of course, its still good
but theres just much better autechre]
