what are the aliens called? are they friendly.

Lets (maybe) turn this thread into a conversation about the
Alien film trilogy.

My favourite film in the trilogy was the second.

I also like the second, the third was quite sombre and
morose. After the second you feel Ripley has finally
overcome the aliens and really feel she's earnt the right to
happy normal family-life; not involving cryogenics.

but when you see the third one you start to believe that
death was the only way out for Sigourney Weaver.

It must be the caffeine; :O my mum only has decaffeinated
tea-bags!

Agreed.

Just has there was a promising relationship between Ripley
and Newt by the end of the second film, Newt somehow ends up
dead at the beginning of the third film, which I felt was
disappointing.

yea, she didn't deserve to die also Dwain's death was more
of a blow to Ripley deep down I think as it was her one
chance for true love. Newt represented Ripley's second (and
probably last)chance at a family having been in hyper space
for the duration of her first child's life.
