I'm sure I read, only the other day, that Xltronic was being
taken off of Wikipedia, or had been closed, as they'd come
to the conclusion it was just an advert for what they deemed
an unfinished site (I think they judged that on the front
page, so you can't blame them). But I must have dreamed it.

Hahaha have you read the comments about the aphex pages....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Aphex_Twin

"Is it possible that RDJ himself has been adding
to/editing this page? A traceroute run on some of the IPs
behind the anonymous edits have all ended up in England.
This, of course, is nowhere near conclusive evidence, just
speculation. There have been rumors of him joining and
posting to websites, though, such as the xltronic.com
forums. Hmm... Does anyone know where does he currently
lives?"

I wrote an entry for it a few months ago. But someone
flagged it for deletion and about 20 admin people agreed
that it shouldn't be there and deleted it. So don't get
excited. WATMM is allowed to stay because they have a CD
release.

lol somebody changed it again !
Xltronic was a website and message board for fans of
electronic music. Originally known as aphextwin.nu, which
was a site dedicated to slagging off conceited muppets...

....the site also provides a discography which is still
under construction and will be for the next 15 years.

r.

It is rumoured that the black dot at the bottom (left) of
the page is clandestine advertising for the website
black[dot]com, and that the xltronic webmaster is paid on a
monthly basis for having this 'banner' on his site. Others
say it is a bug that will probably never be fixed because it
is located exactly at the part of the screen where webmaster
Phobiazero has a 'dead pixel' on his monitor. This would
explain why he doesn't 'see' what the problem is and
therefore won't take action to solve this problem.

A famous quote, often referred to on the board, is "More
stuff coming soon, people", which resided at the top of the
website, on a graphic. Underneath it was written, "It's like
buying a car and losing your driving license at the same
time". Beside these words, and directly above the list of
messageboard messages was an image of a pair of eyes - one
belonging to Sean Booth, the other to Rob Brown, the duo
known as Autechre. This graphic was updated on 5th August
2005, and so these quotes do not remain above the board.

It is also rumoured that Richard D. James himself is a
member, something that several xltronic users spend
countless joyful, fascinating and entertaining hours
debating instead of going out and meeting people.
