anyone happen to have any sites or threads bookmarked with free drum samples/sounds? i'm looking for *free* sites, and NOT loops. i realize that this topic has probably been done many times before, but i can't find any useful ones. if you can point me to an existing thread about this, i'd appreciate it. thanks. |

...not really, though there are "samplers" in reason they just play samples, not recording them (sampling sounds). If "getting into sampling" means playing samples then it´s possible, but if it means getting your own samples, then you need to get samples/edited recordings first (surf sites, sample records with an soundrecorder on your computer or record your own). |

1st step would be get a wav editor. Then from there just save the wav files and import them into reason. Gold wave is a free editor, try that. |

hmmm. well yeah, i mean i know what it is, i can make my own samples, i was just curious to see if reason actually allows you to import your own. i thought you needed to have them in certain formats for each device. i'm running 2.0 on a mac, also using amadeus for wav editing. |
