Few of my tracks, feedback please

OK firstly i'd like to say, these two tracks suck ass, they
are rubbish and im not proud of them. but that doesn't mean
i don't want you to listen to them! i've probably put you
off already and that sucks, but i'd like you to listen to
them for sure joy - laugh at them - mock them - do whatever
you want. All is appreciated.

Firstly, this one; it's the "iwindows xp song" i made it to
see if i could make a song out of the windows xp samples.
http://www.thewebspin.com/sub/music/personal/eXsub%20-%20Wi
ndowsXP.mp3

Next one being a bit more experimental, this time a
random/industrial feel to it. very short, some bits i like.
http://www.thewebspin.com/sub/music/personal/2309875.mp3

thanks a lot. any comments are welcome.

Well fuck off then, come back when you've done something
anyone should waste their time listening to.

wham!

iwindows xp song

the next one

welcome :D interesting tracks, they're definitely not as bad
as you make them out to be. the windows xp track is nice,
you should send it to billy gates and suggest he put out a
remix comp. second track is cool too, awesome sounds in
here. keep posting!

day, took me about 2 - 3 days.

forck_02lynix - thanks a lot. - yeh was tempting to send to
bill gates, couldn't find his email though, perhaps

qrter - what's your point? i was saying each track took
about 2 - 3 days, im a slow producer ok!

it's kind of an expression to mention "I didn't make that in
one day" and to then say how long it actually was. 2 to 3
days is hardly more - in fact, it makes you a "fast
producer".

it takes me months to make something that I think is
presentable.

The thing is i get inpatient - and sometimes i want feedback
on my music, considering my family members arn't into my
music i can only get feedback from online users.

The first track "windows xp" i feel is personally finished,
i know i said it was shit - i still tihnk it is but the
level im at it's not too bad ( i was comparing it to the
stuff people listen to on here - i know a lot of you listen
to aphex twin )

The second song isn't finished, but i wanted to see what
ya'll thought of it.

One more thing - i really am a slow producer, especially now
im reciving problems with my sequncer. I've been working on
one song inperticular for about 2 months, and i've not even
finished the intro. ( keep making changes, trying to take
less usage off cpu )

it's just never a good idea to introduce tracks with the
words "I think they're shit" - although dog_b. stated it
somewhat.. briskly, this is what most people will think: if
you think it's shit, why should I spend my time on it?

it's not about a discussion how this seems to you, that at
the one hand you feel it isn't good but at the other hand it
might be, it's just common courtesy.

You think the tracks are shit, I've listened to them both
and think that they're uninspiring old mp3 music wank,
forck_02lynix, who makes over 128 loveless tracks a day
thinks they've got some good sounds, make of that what you
will.

As i say, it is indeed rubbish to aphex twin stuff which you
guys are used to - but at my level it's not too bad, sorry
about the messed up first post. i wish i could edit it.

WHAT??? What the fuck's that got to do with it? I spent 8
years on this, I thought about this one for this much time,
this one took me.... JESUS FUCK, it's GOOD or it's NOT GOOD,
it's that SIMPLE.

offline exsub from United Kingdom on 2005-08-07 21:47 [#01687399]

you spent 8 years producing this album, when every track is
under 3min?

i think it's safe to say your a slower producer than me.

"Mind over Shatner (1:05) 1.1MB " doesn't work ( the link )

OK just finished the whole album, i like the sounds, but i
find its way too basic way too short.

Mnd over Shatner's probably the best one... i just fixed the
fucking case sensitive link, thanks.

I fucked that up, why is the Grinning APe website so shit,
just cause i picked the "Basic" plan they think it's ok to
fuck me over, motherfuckers need re-educating.

i could host it for you if you send me it, though i don't
see why i should with all this abuse you've been giving me.

and to be honest, even if you think my tracks are shit i
don't care, i didn't produce them for you - i produced them
for me.

I'm not arguing anymore, I've stopped. If you want to carry
on your merry way of saying "these tracks of mine are shit
but please listen to them" like over a billion other people
have before you, then carry on.

It took Anders and myself 6-8 months for 15 tracks.

We will be doing that yet again.

Some tracks can be completed quickly and some take forever.
It depends on the person and the vibe they are having.
Sometimes i like to edit 1 .wav for hours and completely
construct something from the ground up

i listened to both tracks, not much to say. i don't like
the sounds and the music is generic, predictable mostly.
i'm sure you're capable of much better and i hope next time
you'll give us something a little more developed and
involving. these are little tracks that you're better off
keeping to yourself, like much of grinning ape.
