This effect is soooo cool.
I use the Fruity Granulizer and when you put samples through
it and tweak the knobs you can really get
Aphex/Squarepusher-like FX.

I also love the Scratcher and Slicer in FL311. Great
sounding effects to freak with!!!

I don't try to copy an artist, NO F*CKING WAY!!!!
My statement has always been that everybody should create
music in his/her own style.

But I just like the music of AFX, including his effects, so
when I found out how to do those effects, I involve them in
my music. It's like creating a better DNA al the time.

good idea, i'm on the same sometimes, so i think, afx
improve the most things

yeah, afx has no limits; you don't know what to expect
everytime when he comes out with something new, so he's just
improving our music.

I think everyody is inspired (conscious or not) by other
music etc. and then puts that inspiration into music.
Its like 3,5 parts of yourself, and 1,5 parts of inspiration
given by other sources.

so true! how d'you want make music without inspiration ? so,
it's not wrong when you listen to a good artist and want to
make something afx-ish... i like to improve things, record
my fingerbib beats on a table and record them, cut it and
make various beats...gate them add efx's and filters and so
on..

YEAH! Just improve on! It's just about learning new tricks
from other artists.
Just freak with FX and sounds, experiment for ever!
That's what makes creating music so interesting: always
trying to find new styles and new sounds etc, and finally
combining them into a wicked track!

I read about it a Future Music mag.
They said it's fun, and some of the effects are very good,
but personally I think I should prefer that Korg thing
which you can use with your fingertips.

Also check out the GRM-tools, Anarchy FX, ringmodulators,
bitcrushers and different filtersettings at every step. And
if you're into random rhythms check out Reaktor's
Stepshifter device.

I heard about a plugin collection called Pluggo or
something. This collection seems to carry an almost
unlimited number of weird effects.....but it's only for the
Mac.
