is really fun. And actually quite rewarding, in my opinion.

Well...it goes like this.
I use 'Skrewell' on Reaktor 5, which generates a pitch via an oscillator and i control the tone that comes out. not only that, but i put it hthrough a 12db filter and adjust delay specs to the noise direct.
Basically i muck about, but there is some method.

The idea behind the songs i've called "Bloom Words" is linked to the character Leopold Bloom in james Joyce's "Ulysses". If people haven't read it, most of it is 'the sensation of thought' from this character's perspective. Words are used in a 'new' way to create different meanings, most of the time being incomprehensable gibberish, but there are times when he makes sense.
Taking this i have used twelve tone music sounds (1 whole octave) which people are familiar with in music and in speech and used them in a new way via noise.
it's been a slow afternoon

I distort sounds using 5-7 programs. I like to switch between them frequently and take out my agression on one sound for hours.
It feels great to get that emotion and turn it into a sound.
I love noise music!

I hope anyone who does listen to it enjoys it.
Me too virginpusher, noise music is so versatile/versitile, i enjoy it very much. Do you have any of your uploaded?

thanks. it doesn't seem very noisy to me - i would probably describe it as just being atonal rather than "noise". it's nice - i like it.

i prefer making noise with hardware (more structured music i could care less how it's made)
it's a very fun experience to mess around with some gadgets, wiring this that way and back through there and so on...
and get cool noises

i've been making some pure ambient music lately with no software - i've rebuilt my all-hardware setup.
my last good ambient track was just my guitar and a dual-delay filter with arena reverb on my digitech rp7 effects valve, just plugged into my computer, all improvised. i was very happy.
most of my best ambient or noise tracks come from me just screwing around, just going with it. when i do this, things usually come out good.
