the only way to cure a "broken heart" or whatever is to start dating somebody else - this was the only thing that worked for me- but life was a living hell for about 6 months, but definetly dating somebody else helped a lot. |

6 months 'it' lasted for me, i really couldnt eat or drink anything i lost a whole bunch of wait, all i did was work - the worst part was that she left me for a woman or at least this is what she told me at the beginning...i came to find out she was just using that excuse it was really another guy - needless to say it kind of hit me hard - all i can say is youre young and will get over it - find a distraction - haha mine was music |

it's my experience that a lot of people do not know how to live on their own. from the moment they moved out of their parents house, they will jump from one relationship to the next, very very afraid of the possible moment where they are alone. I think it's good for any person to live on their own for a long time (say - a year). this doesn't mean they'd have to be all sad and lonely - they still see friends, family, colleagues and other people but they also form some kind of feeling of independence. it's just that I see people go to shit as soon as this chain of relationships breaks. |

i see what youre saying but i responding to the implication that to jump from a relationship into another is a bad thing - imo its not - you find yourself needing to always been in a relationship - thats when you should take some time... but if you find yourself struggling to move on, and you find yourself getting self destructive over it... youd best start to fill the void |

Yeah I've been passing through the exact same thing as you "tragedy". It's extremely hard, basically all my self-esteem has flew from me. I'm not unhappy either. I made many sacrifice (long distance relationship) to keep up with that woman, and I ended up now with no friend and no love from her anymore. I guess that it's the price I have to pay at the moment. I don't feel guilt, it's more like mandatory solitude. Someday I know things will be better, that I will be more happy than now. It can't be worse than the 4 months I've now passed through!!! |

I agree 100% with that post. If people take that window of time to be alone relationship wise and dont attempt to fuck any and everything in sight.... wisdom and knowledge can be gained and the person wont try to fill that emptyness with a relationship. |
