Around 360 CD's and about 30 cassette tapes.

I have no idea of an average of my CD buying. Sometimes it's
5 at once (when I have lots of money) and sometimes I dont
get a new CD for months (When I don't have lots of money).

Hmm...about 200 cds, although I only just got my new job and
my weekly income has multiplied by about 7, so that'll mean
a few more discs :)

And about 20 or 30 tapes, but I stopped buying those in 1993
or something :P

I couldn't care less about ''investment'', the MP3s I
download in a minute are just as important to me as the CD I
paid 20 bucks for. I don't care, I can hear it, can't I?

I still have a lot of purchased music, but THAT collection,
luckily for my bank account, has stopped growing. :-)

What about supporting the artists and the development of new
music??? I can understand downloading stuff from musicians
that hit the charts big and don't really need the financial
support, but we can use our power as consumers to encourage
proliferation of unique genres. Support the little guy--buy
the CDs! Musicians need to be able to make a living.

too true toggle, i'm hopin to make a living out of music,
and if people arent buying your tunes your pretty much
fucked if you want a good living, there's money to be made
playing live though, and theres the thing of giving my money
to the corporate mutherfuckers too, an artist only gets
about 10% of the actual money you hand over. So i try to buy
from the little peoplr as much as possible before i purchase
from a major label.

I got 150 cd's, plus another 100 burnt cd's. and 3500 mp3's
(22 gigs). And I'm still not satisfied. I actually pisses
me off sometimes...

I own about 100 cd's, and have about 25 burned cd's, most of
which are personal favorites mixes, not actual albums.
