what do you think? personally i think remixes rarely
improve a song..

the only thing i can think of right now is µ-ziq's mix of
'on'.. although i sometimes prefer the original version.

the only music worth remixing is music that is shit to begin
with.

i just see it as the remixers interpretation of the original
track... nothing more... they do it without the tought of
making it cooler... just their own interpretation man...

i see it as the remixer taking the original track's raw
materials and making a different song.

if the song's original structure, sound-usage, etc is
retained, i don't think the remix is really worth two shits.

A good mix is based on an IDEA, that is, the one who's
mixing should get a good grip on the original, the use of
the same ingredients is redundant.

What about all the remixes boc have done too?

or as good as at least.

often the remix is completely a different track and does not
have to be compared to the original.

there is also a matter of taste, if an artist i like remixes
an artist i don't like, i'll be likely to enjoy the remix
more than the original and therefore think it was
"improved". but someone who likes the original artist better
will think the opposite. ae can make good music with any
source anyway.
