In theory, at least. The Shuttle is set to launch at 10.30am local time today, 3.39pm for those of us in the UK. If you're in the UK and have access to Sky News Active (press the red button), you can see a live feed to NASA TV showing all the pre-flight stuff. Right now they're strapping astronauts into the tiny flight deck. |

It's pretty exciting to think that there are a group of people out there beyond our atmosphere hurtling through the void with nothing between them and space but a thin bit of fibreglass (or whatever shuttles are made from). |
