I was just browsing through a torrent site, when I came upon a quote from Kerouac, which I believe furnished the title of a Burroughs' novel - Kerouac calls heroin, 'the naked lunch that lies at the end of every cold spoon.'
Anyone know where other book titles come from?
I know 'A Scanner Darkly' by PKD comes from the writings of St Paul - 'through a glass darkly' - meaning that our visions are obscured until the end of time.

Slightly relevent is the fact that the band Steely Dan took their name from a dildo in Burroughs' Naked Lunch. Can't provide any insight on book titles off-hand though..

Quite relevent and pretty interesting! There's no reason why not to include album titles / band names here.
