lalala.. it's a mix and it's got lots of sweet tunes. now,
let's not get stuck in semantics and discussing what a sweet
tune is, let's just rather listen to the mix.

there are some transitions I'm not quite satisfied
with, but the songs they are to/from are songs that HAD to
be in this.. I wish I had one more turntable, 'cause it's
all so much easier with turntables than mp3s... anyway, if
anyone hears some transition or other "technical" thingie
that's completely off the wall, let me know 'cause I need to
know what I'm doing wrong to get better.

Sweetmix

the tracks sounded great (although this system is a
computer-speaker set-up.. I'm almost aching to get back to
my own stereo soon).. I couldn't fit it in the mix,
though... kainind was great! I tried getting etiop in, but
there was no place it'd work...

bad?

yeah, that one isn't matched at all actually 'cause I
had to pitch sams track up like 58% to match them... I just
thought that the sound is so similar that people may
not notice.. heh.. that should teach me!

Very, very GOOD I meant, ha, ha, mister doctor master... Of
course I DID notice, but it was pleasantly fluent.

Some good mix thingy in iz-us (near the ending)!

hahah! always assume the worst... thanks!

yeah, I'm actually quite pleased with the iz-us -->
naruto-ya rice merchant transition.. it's a long one..
longer than any transition I've managed before, actually and
the two songs are just out of tune with each other in a way
that works.. or something...

tridenti: great!

I'll download this tomorrow, but what is a good program to
do these mixes on? I've used Audacity but it doesnt feel
that intuitive, so brighten me.

I've heard much better mixes from tha Mastah, most of the
transitions were simple fades... not much beatmatching.

I know beatmatching isn't necessary to create a nice mix but
there where only a few that were smooth.

Was you intention to put some favorites of yours into a
short mix?

Paul F Savage - Parallax 15 into Aphex Twin - Iz-Us is very
sweet!

"I just thought that the sound is so similar that people
may not notice.. heh."

People who normally don't listen to IDM won't notice, I
guess...but we are mighty xltronicers ;)

Audacity might be the least intuitive program i've ever
used. I find it genuinely horrible to work with, really
bad.

Depends what kind of mix you're making really, i use wavelab
but then i work in quite an odd way to most people. I think
traktor's the standard mp3-mixing tool, but i've never used
it.

thanks! great feedback!

my intention was basically that I should put tracks I.. I
don't know, but certain tracks give me a special feeling,
and everything seems "sweet," so I thought I should compile
all of those tracks in one mix.. unfortunately quite a few
of these tracks are also tracks that don't really match and
some (like the pianotrack, takagi masakatsu - girls) don't
even really follow their own beat completely... I know there
are some transitions I could've done better if I had more
time to tweak, but I wanted to finish this before I leave on
holiday... now, that's no excuse anyway, so I'll just try to
do better on my next...
