Ok heres the story, 2 days ago while browsing users on Soulseek i came across a user with a very rare complete set of Timbers 'The perfect Beat' 4 cd set in FLAC format! I immediately queued up the entire set. Yesterday i checked up on the the downloads and sadly the user had logged off before i could finish. The good news was the first 3 cds completed, the problem is that the crown jewel of the set is on cd 4, Quadrant Six's Body Mechanic (99 mix). anyways i checked to see if the user had possibly banned me, and no he was genuinely logged off, so i went to bed thinking to myself if anything i hope i can atleast get the quadrant six track off of him........ This morning i check again the user is still logged off . so i start browsing again when suddenly before my eyes track #2, the quadrant six track begins downloading out of nowhere ??? So after about 30 minutes of downloading the track completes.... Not one other track had been downloaded, none of the cover art, none of log files.... how the fuck did this happen? did the music gods make this possible for me? |

Maybe he logged in and off very quick but let slsk running, that way the transfer will start and finish, unless he closes slsk. |

naw. haven't you guys noticed all the weird status problems on there right now? i have been logged into slsk several times recently, despite the fact that it says i'm not online... i'm sure that's all it is. |

i've noticed this too. other users you're downloading from quit soulseek but don't shut the cpu off so the song that you were beginning to download finishes...or that's what i think anyway. |

yeah, there are enough online/offline problems on slsk at the moment, in the aphextwin.nu room there are always at least 3 people in the userlist who are shown as offline or not shown at all, but are talking in the room. |

I keep seeing tolstoyed as offline, and I can't browse his files or send pm's, but I downloads continue. |

yeah he always appears as offline on mine too. currently in the aphextwin.nu room the users who appear offline are: kragle mappatazee nanotech tolstoyed vokehead not sure why this is useful :D [night!] |

yep strange things happen with slsk. sometimes when i first log-in. things start moving "uploads-downloads. and my bird is still red. if you hit [toggle away] a few times the bird goes blue. and yep.. ive had downloads download on me when it says the user is "offline" too.. and also small files, if you are in a big que. .jpg 's and .nfo 's sometimes slip thru while you are still qued.. its all weird.. but its the price you pay for such a wonderful program.. ahhh |
