I just remembered that when my father was younger he was a
huge Hendrix fan, he would listen to it all the time, very
loudly. or so my mother says, I wasn't born then.

for as long as I've known him he has NEVER listened to
music. that part of life seems to have completely
disappeared.

this is highly perplexing to my brother and I, you know, we
both love music and are always talking about what we've been
listening to and we just can't fathom how music has
disappeared from our fathers life.

that just popped into my head.

help out grandad on a field (my best memories are of those
fields - pure beauty, awesome places..), go for a swim in
the afternoon..

I remember this one time when I was having pre-migraine and
I noticed a glass marble in a gutter and the marble was
sparkling clean in the middle of all the dirty gutter water
and then the "flashes" started so I went home.

My first time eating Gushers was in the room I'm sitting in
right now, chewy candies with fruit juice cores that squirt
out when you bit into them, bursting with flavor. Almost too
good to be true. I have trouble finding them when I go out
for groceries though.

i looked over at my sleeping kitty just now (who is still
very small) and remembered about when I was 8 and I got my
first kitten, who is now 12 years old and lives with my
parents. When we brought her inside, she saw our dog
(R.I.P.) and her fur puffed out like a blowfish... I felt
bad for her because she was scared but it was also pretty
funny. :D

once i was meditating on the beach. it was a difficult
meditation as the wind was blowing sharp sand, and it was
late autumn. but there was a brief moment where i saw in
sharp detail hundreds of white strands underneath the
breaking waves, a bit like the illustration of a whales
mouth. i find they happen sporadically but more often
nowadays, moments of intense detail. thats something that
makes me very happy and put-in-place

theres many memories which im happy to recall from my early
teens that i didnt value at the time. theyre very much place
related as my family moved around so much. when i travel
past these places today its almost poignant.

I remember the day I thought I'd invented the best thing
since sliced bread when I decided to try out something
totally new and (at least to my knowledge at age 7) radical
which had never been attempted before.

I put ribena in the ice cube maker with a lollystick and
came out with blackcurrant flavoured ice cubes which I
called Nik's Icelolly's. My mates loved the idea when
they came round but then I got into coca cola and forgot
ribena and never looked back.

*dashes to make some Coca-Cola flavoured ice cubes for old
time's sake*
