Thats right folks, with the recent news of a new boc album
coming this october, listen to everything from geogaddi to a
few old tunes. Rediscover the signature sound and style that
mades these guys musicaly genious. Gods of idm, after all,
the rare twoism vinyl is known as the holy grail of idm.

yes, they certainly don't deserve two appreciation
threads :D

I'm worried it's not going to be very good. I thought the
last two remixes were kind of sub-par. Sounded more digital
and noodly bordering on new age - less dirty hip hop
mushroom style. Here's hoping im wrong.

I hope they gonna improve the "main" tracks (The fillers
were always good), those on "Geogaddi" tend to be boring at
times. Too much repetition, with less ideas.

exactly what i found.. the long tracks didn't evolve as much
as those on MHTRTC

Exactly how I feel. I'm hoping it's the weakness of the
source material, rather than that they've 'lost their
magic'. :-/

Twoism was re-released. How do you know if it's the first
pressing?

Bigger cover art, better sound quality.

I've missed the speculation on the board.

I'm looking forward to it, if i'm honest. I, like Gwely
Mernans, have been listening to all their old stuff. I
recently downloaded volume 2 of a few old tunes and i was
pleasently suprised on how good it is. It's given me hope on
their new stuff.

I just think of listening to BoC is so interesting; to see
how they've progressed; to see what's on their mind. I like
seeing how they've gone from A Few Old Tunes to Geogaddi.

And even if the album isn't that good it's released
in October, perfect time. There's going to be some sort of
autumn/winter nostalgia in there some where. And i can't
personally wait to walk around Greenwich Park listening to
it.

And for the record, i like the new remixs. The very last
part on 'Last Walk Round Mirror Lake' with the synths, pure
BoC magic.

the remixes they have done recently have been some of the
best stuff i have heard them to do.

Agreed, there recent stuff is extremely good. I am really
looking forward to getting the new album. BoC is the only
music I can listen to no matter what mood I am in.

i am very afraid that geogaddi cant be surpassed. that album
has pretty much everything a great album needs.

you could say it was a logical progression from MHTRTC.

what else is there?

a comparison with plaid anyone? just listen to spokes..

ae? well..

As for 'a few old tunes', i say keep the stuff locked up in
the big hexagon sun vault.

Then there's the fact that i hardly ever listen to any BOC
anymore because i'm afraid i will get bored of it. So i
'save' it for special occasions (read: when utterly
mashed).

:(

i think BoC can never tire for me. Kaini Industries still
has the same beautiful effect it had on me when i first
listened to it.

Mhtrtc has a very strange effect on me now.

it really reminds me of something very special.

So now i can't listen to it at the moment.

I don't know.. "geogaddi" was such a disappointment to me
after the great MHTRTCTRSTHC.

I have heard people saying being disappointed by geogaddi,
but probably about as many think the opposite. I belong to
that latter group: For me Geogaddi was a majestic next step,
even though Aquarius is probably still their best track.

Also, although I haven't heard any of the recent remixes
(they're hard to come by!), I've heard one anonymous new BoC
track, and it's absolutely gorgeous!
