any fans of their music here? i just bought el cielo and the new one, i bought leitmotif when it came out and was blown away, i just rediscovered them if you will - great band |

Not a big fan but I've tried El Cielo and it was good, very honest but not my thing. I have heard bad reviews of this new album from people I know that are big Dredg fans, what do you think about it? The Dredg fans I hang with (online only!) seem to be really passionate, for what it's worth. |

i havent heard el cielo or cath.. but i bought them and i should be getting them soon enough, i will post back with my thoughts, ive heard its pretty good, their albums take some getting used to, when i first heard leitmotif i didnt know what to make of it, but i slowly got it. you should check out leitmotif, this is one of my most fav albums. |

New album sucks ass. El Cielo is alright. And Leitmotif/Extended Play For the Eastern Hemisphere is fucking awesome. To go more indepth, I don't think Catch Without Arms holds much ground at all. If anything it rethreads it. It completely lacks the solid songwriting that made El Cielo bearable and Leitmotif kick ass. It's pretty cheesy, come to think of it. El Cielo is pretty nice, but it's got too many boring segues that just seem like filler and it doesn't "rock out" at all. A bit too ambient for my liking. Leitmotif is where the juice is at. Even the segues are great. It's the most balanced and sonically interesting album of the three, in my opinion. Terrific stuff. |

ok I got catch without arms, and although its a pop album , i love it - its not dredg though, at least its not the same band that released leitmotif - but thats a very good thing - now onto el cielo and i report back here. |
