his definition of throbbing gristle:

THROBBING GRISTLE: Thee involuntary muscular spasms of death
perhaps, sound throbbing, body, blood, air, cunt throbbing,
throbbing air conveying sound, affecting thee metabolism.
Throbbing, pulsing, rhythmic direct. Throbbing of pain,
bruising, injury of existence, throbbing with excitement
too. Gristle... hard, tough, neither skin nor muscle, a
paradox, on thee boundary. Gristle, rejected by everyday
consumers when they buy meat at butchers: meat, sign of
human animalism, death to feed life, or our assumption to
have right to genocide of other species that we might live.
Gristle, cock, sexuality, fuck. Gristle, reject matter,
unwanted, separated from good. Throbbing gristle, thee
moment of orgasm, penetration of male into another body,
joining of two people in most vulnerable moment, moment of
immortality, sperm and thee moment of life injected.
Possibility of birth, or masturbation and wastage. Throbbing
gristle; crude colloquialism, working class street culture,
ordinariness made unusual, something commonplace sex/fuck
made oblique, subtle seen another way. Regional slang,
parochial joke, rough humour, honesty of vision. Uncouth.

i gather that genesis and mrs genesis are in the middle of a
project to become the same person physically - hence the
boobs on gen.

i like what i've heard. which isn't much.

well, there are basically only two 'proper' albums but
apperantly they released a bunch of live recordings which i
imagine are awesome (haven't heard any yet).

yeah i've heard about the 24 hours thingy - 24 discs with an
hour of live TG on each. so 20 jazz funk greats and 2nd
annual report are the ones to get then?

i think i heard an old genesis song once on the radio, and
that's it, 'jesus he knows me' or something, lol

Genesis P Orridge always keeps a violin with him onstage in
case he's inspired to play the right frequency to destroy
the world. or something... hm, I wonder if disinfomation is
still active.

i've always thought of it as three proper albums (second
annual report, D.O.A. , 20 jazz funk greats).

to me though the live recordings are what it's all about -
really interesting seeing how their sound evolves over all
the performances (because i'm some sort of completist i have
TG24 and TG+). i love the ones when they start to play
hanburger lady, hearing the drone slowly come in from the
distance amongst the gristeizer noise. and of course very
friendly from the early ones, and tesco disco --- great.

hmm, he played bass guitar when i saw him..dunno about
violins. but i think he plays quite a number of different
instruments.

stefanbukake, maybe it's better if you check all three,
yes..ilfed knows his stuff :)
