i gotta admit but this dude has found a real place in my
heart - he has rhymes as audacious as kool keith but pulls
them off - and shit this mother must have about a million
Marvel LPs or videotapes!

Ay carumba, now that's my number

Now I feel like a sucka for not hearing any mfDoom. I am
familiar with the ever nimble lyricist that is Keith
Thornton though.

He's fucking well better than Keith. Most tracks these days
Keith just chats shit that doesn't make sense and people try
to find meaning in it...decide on something and then call
him a genius. HE still has moments of brilliance though.
MF Doom is consistantly clever, witty and interesting using
a lot of subtle references to culture (not just US either).

The Raekwon comment by thatne was just pure stupidity.

I haven't heard much recent Keith - I have Dr
Octagonecolygyst on CD but I didn't much care for Black
Elvis or his party album.. I have the Critical Beatdown by
the Ultramagnetic MCs tho, which is 'dope'

i have Dr Octagon and Critical Beatdown too, plus Sex Style
those albums are great ! especially the ultramagnetic one
but lots of KK stuff sucks, i think he doesnt work with good
producers

DOOM's wit and humor are unmatched. He's great.

Kool Keith can be very sharp with his ryhmes, and when he's
good he's real good. but truthfully, he probably misses more
than he hits.

On his own albums DOOM does mostly his own beats I think...
except on VV:VV2 (which pretty much sucked)

- MF DOOM: Operation Doomsday
- Viktor Vaughn: Vaudeville Villain
- King Geedorah: Take Me To Your Leader
- Viktor Vaughn: Venomous Villain
- Madvillain: Madvillainy
- MF DOOM: MM Food

^ that's where you'll find most of his work, though.

the only stuff i don't have are his special herbs releases.

can anybody attest to their greatness? i'll probably buy 'em
anyway because i'm a sucker, but it'd be nice to know
beforehand what to expect. ...but at the same time i dunno
why i'm even asking. because i'm sure i'll like them.
everything he touches is gold. his work on the new gorillaz?
mmmm. and have you heard the new dangerdoom track floatin'
around? it's on the latest punk-o-rama release. #10 i think
it is? delicious.

Emcee's fall back,
its Vik in ya ear with the whole ball of wax
call or fax for the freshest rhyme delivery
a take out for the fake-you-out ballers in the industry

Yeah dont forget about that Gorillaz track he did.

yeah the fellow has really spread himself a bit thin in the
last year and a half... it's all decent stuff, but not all
brilliant... i'd definitely take KMD over either Viktor
Vaughn album...

haha what? Everytime someone chooses KMD over Vik, baby
Jesus cries.

I like some KMD songs, but c'mon. Viktor is the hottest
flowing emcee ever. His rhyming scheme fucking destroys his
MF DOOM alias let alone Zev Love X.

No doubt, leave a rapper in a body cast
Wonder what he was doing while we was in Karate class
Snotty ass, its really like he was a white belt
right before 'night night' ask him how the light felt
Wouldn't take their tape if they gave it for free
Maybe its me, maybe its V Throw down the key
Y'all know how shit be, in the naked city rappers is so
giddy
thats no diddy, Vaughn so witty
the way he take prisoners and show no pity
Its how some became a big man from a black boy
to name names I'm a really big fan of Dan Aykroyd

I like some KMD songs, but mostly for the background music
they rap over. Its just soo 90's otherwise.
