..are fantastically horrible! like 99% of what they do is thoroughly cliche, that rapper looks like wycliff from the fugees and the female is like anastaticia
hence it's good top40 music :)

that tall guy with long hair and sunglasses looks scarier than love inc.'s dj. He could have played that anorexic aphex in come to daddy!
I don't like them at all, but after a few drinks at a club, that 'nononono don't funk with my heart~' gets really catchy..

That's an interesting thought.. Let's talk about that instead.
What top40 music do you find good? What elements of it are good? Is it in any way interesting?
I'm not going to lambaste you for your own opinion, i'm just slightly shocked and intruiged by what you wrote.

coldplay is kinda good and liked here. lots of new artists that turn shit have had an original hit imo, like eminem
what's interesting about 'dont funk with my heart' is that, like other songs of theirs, it consists just of catchy phrases, uttered over and over again

I have to admit that 'Hey Mama' did make me get up dance in a few nightclubs last year :S

'where is the love' was original imo, 'shut up' consisted of cliche sayings even, like 'if you dont stop talking baby, you'd best start walking baby' and, simply, catchy, relateble 'shut up'

I have tried to move away from being 'one of those people who only likes 1 kind of music'
My opinion is changing to 'if it sounds good, then why not enjoy it?'
and many chart tracks can be enjoyed! I hate a lot of them though. Many of them make me want to rip my own face off.

and then changing it to "let's get it started" because it'll offend less Americans (read: Walmart etc.) and therefore sell more copies.
at least E from eels did something funny with that censoring crap, re-recording "it's a motherfucker" as "it's a monstertrucker".
worst thing about BEP is that they get popular with a vapid, "socially aware", limply engaged song - yeah, these guys have something to tell the kids of today. now that we've gotten that out of the way LET'S ONLY DO PARTY TRACKS!!!!!!!! LOL
