just installed nasa world wind..how close can you get to
earth? cause i can only see my city from above (5 km or
so)..zooming in results in blury vision...how can i get
closer?

If you are in the US, you can use the USGS Digital Ortho
(only black-white), or the USGS Urban Area (only for
selected areas though - try Los Angeles). The second one`s
maximum zoom is 550 meters.

Try to play around with this also. This gives you
the full Urban Area zoom possibilitiy.

Those 2 best zoom options are only for USA, for Europe try
maybe Land Sat7.
