damn that shit sounds pretty sweet... definately has a bit

Keith Fullerton Whitman (Hrvatski's real name, and more
academic drone/ambient music) released a CD called
"Multiples" recently, and 3 of the tracks on there are made
with a Serge Modular.

In fact, the track titles are:

my guess is you didn't listen to all of the samples, because
I heard some sounds that sounded like they would fit
perfectly into an aphex track.

No. I listened to half of them. I heard some stuff that
sounded electronic, but no aphex stuff (unless you count
effects). Some of the same scales and style of sound design.
But the style of effecting is what really sets aphex apart.
