ok, well i decided not to get a PC laptop - instead i have
spent the money on other stuff...

Atari 1040STE and 4MB upgrade with high res display
Roland MC-202
Roland TR-606
Clavia Nord Lead 2x
and my girlfriend has offered to buy these for us:

Roland TB-303 with Kenton MIDI
Roland TR-909
Elektron Machinedrum

:D

i hope to be making tracks again real soon

i just need a mixer.....and effects....and monitors....and
an amp

:-s

amazing when using the accent!

bob

she already knows, and we have already comitted to buy

I'm paying for the 202, 606, Atari and the Nord

she's getting the rest

i was sorta expecting to find an mp3 of squishy love bits
rubbing together and a few muffled grunts.

i'm pleased with how the thread turned out though.

yes, the Atari will serve as my main MIDI sequencer as i
have C-lab's Creator software.

My Nord arrived today, but since it is an american model i
need to buy a step-down transformer before i can use it :(

i hope Maplin.co.uk deliver quickly

yes i know i haven't been online often...i miss it here

once you get that step-down transformer. Nice to see you
around the board again.

interesting you should say that.

i used to have the greatest girlfriend in the world.
yesterday we broke up :(

we were planning on making music together, but i don't know
what's gonna happen now.

The guy selling the 303 hasn't gotten in touch with me at
all. I used the buy now option, but he hasn't responded to
any emails. I'm gonna have to call him in a few days maybe.

the Machinedrum should arrive tomorrow, same for the Atari
and the display (hopefully) and the 909 should arrive on
Thursday

i would love to get hold of one of those, but i'm afraid my
budget has been blown - at least for this month.

next on the list to buy is a 4-track tape recorder (and yes
i wanna use tape, so i can get the saturation) and a
mixer...hopefully some monitors too.

after that i'm going for effects and pedals.

man i need lots of room

Looks like all of that has changed now.
We're back together and WILL be making music together in the
future.
We've just gotta finish up our equipment list a little
first.

We've got an SH101 on the way, as well as a TR808 and we've
secured a KORG MS20.

I'm a sound engineer and music technologist myself, so it's
what i do and enjoy doing... it just so happens it's
oscillik's life also and so we both share the same
excitement and enthusiasm over the equipment...

Since oscillik's 4th powerbook went down we were racking our
brains to figure out a way that he could still make his
music successfully..

Since he's always been a Hardware man i thought, "why not
set up a mini home studio for us to use?"
So we began buying equipment, equipment that neither of us
thought we'd see even in our dreams.

Its still not sunk in with him what we actually do have.
He's still astonished that he has a 303 haha.
I personally love the 909 :D

flat or something so we actually have the room to store all
of these beauties!
