9-11 was like a day spent underwater- mind-numbing anxiety. My intention was to offer condolences and prayers not provoke the raving assholes (redrum) or a discussion of christianity. I most certainly believe in God and for what its worth- I tried to put in a good word this morning. Stay positive. |

Fair enough, point taken. I still believe I have a very strong point though. Read post #1 again. Look at the wording, the christianity running through it, the signature "oh-shit-what-is-it-i'm-meant-to-say-again" bushpause before the last phrase. I figure it's just that he's become used to this sort of language and it seems right and proper. Indeed, it is -- but it just reminds me too much of bush for comfort. I acknowledged his good intentions in my second post (which he never remarked on), before he'd replied to the first, so I think i'd vindicated myself. |

Sorry to see that the shit never really stopped flying after I removed myself from this discussion- it was not at all constructive. Redrum- I'm not a christian. I'm not a Republican. In fact I put alot of money and effort in trying to defeat George Bush both times and do alot of writing against the moral majority. I've opposed the war in Iraq since its inception and railed on and on to anyone that would listen that Iraq is a horrible use of money to combat terrorism. I've said (hardly original to me) secure the airports, seaports, subways, nuke and chemical plants first. These are all POSITIVE things that could of come from the tragedy. Positive things redrum- do you know how to be positive? How about donating some blood you ass? I logged onto XLT first thing yesterday out of concern and a sincere wish to support people in any small way- not to start a political debate. Get the wounded stabilzed and those that can't be saved into the grieving hands of their loved ones and then I'll listen to your ranting. |
