the russian astrologer Marina Bai is suing nasa for having altered the trajectory of the meteorite they exploded earlier this morning, and having thus rendered her horoscopes invalid. I can't be bothered to convert, but she's suing them for the equivalent of 20 billion norwegian kroner. ..to me this seems like giving humans the option of altering their fate as decided by any horoscope by simply blowing up some random galactic body or whatever... I thought horoscopes were more bound to fate..? |

Yes, absolutely. What I mean is that you can have capitalism without imperialism - however the US seems so hell-bent on keeping the whole American Dream alive (GET.RICH.GET.RICH.GET.RICH) that they're resorting to this imperialist foreign policy to -- and i'm quoting from neo-conservative literature now -- maintain America's dominant position in the world, both economically and militarily. Taxidermist - the US will never call itself imperialist. It's an ugly word with evil connotations. |
