No, not the user aesthetics, but the concept:-

Does anybody else find sheet music immensely beautiful? i'm
probably alone on this one, but in case i'm not, i'm posting
this in hope that someone can share some sheet music that
they enjoy pouring over.

and, first person to name the music scanned in as pictures
at my myspace gets respect and a pat on the back

aesthetics is the philosophy of beauty, and especially the
beauty of arts.

I'm talking about the visual beauty of sheet music. I'll
post a pic in a second.

Steve Vai has an interesting section of his site called
"Little Black Dots", devoted to guitar technique and music
theory. It's well worth a look.

yea, myspace squashed it down to a smaller size..

the naming-the-music thing was a bit of a joke anyways, i
think that single page is taken from the cadenza of the
concerto, so.. g'luck with that :P no recognisable melodies
contained within, i think. unless you're a virtuoso musician
and can actually bang it out.

I could probably play it very slowly, but I've given up
remembering the names on classical pieces... they're all
named the same because of how they are named.

It is a great pleasure to look at scores I've written and
other composers pieces too. There is something very
gratifying about writing your own though.

if you people got finale notepad (freeware), I could upload
two piano-etudes I've written... they're not very good, as
they are etudes, but still...

I guess they're a little too sparse to be nice to look at.

your music?

only two of them have been fully realised, I'm not that
happy with them either. I will have more recorded closer to
next year, hopefully they'll be better.

yesss :) What're your favourites marlowe?

I remember you sent me the sheet music for Wedding March at
Trondheim along with the mp3....... both of which were
subsequently lost on my old home pc.

Any chance of gmailing them to me again?

sheet music is aestheticly pleasing, but its a bugger to
read.

I think I almost have the entire Lyric Pieces of Grieg which
I can send to you... I have other Grieg pieces, but they are
regular sheet music.

yeah, it is beautiful.

Once I finish a piece, and its all written out, I feel
really proud and its as if the piece is completed.

Of course it has nothing to do with the quality of the
music, but it just kind of finalizes it all, I guess.
