Royksopp - What else is here?

I fell in love with that song. It`s a PERFECT tune, I
simply can`t belive it! I`ve heard it on the radio a few
days ago, and it thrilled and shocked me.

I have found some samples of their new album here,
but somehow I`m not THAT impressed with it as a whole.
Nevertheless this song is so damn good that I consider
buying "The Understanding"...

Somebody got it? Is it worth it?

i've just listened to the sample
sounds nice but maybe not worth buying the alb if the rest
is crap (i've not heard it yet)

It`s not crap, some tunes are good, but in comparison to
this song...

My friend brought some records over and Melody A.M. is here,
anything good on that?

it's a good album, but it's part of a genre that most people
here will dispise,

I like "only this moment" a shitload (off the new album)

and "royksopps night out" from the first one (melody am)
(listen to that track specifically mappataze)

I wish I could give you an answer...

It must be quite good, all recensions that i`ve read are
overall enthusiastic.

alpha male is a pretty wicked instrumental gvarek, if you're
fairly frivilous with your purchases than it's worth it for
that track as well

Hell no, I`m not "frivilous" wit my purchases, but still
all the records that I`ve bought are chosen mostly "ad
hoc".

I know that Royksopp is far to poppy for my tastes, its only
this damn song that got me into this issue.

Hmm, no, it doesn't sound like I'd like this if the whole
thing is similar.

I`m gonna check it in the good old mp3`s first, and then,
who knows, it`s not bad for a summer soundtrack...

Btw: I`ve downloaded it and had an enjoyalble listening. So
now I`m closer to purchase it for real, necessarily with a
Richard Devine, to have a good counterbalance!

I think that 60% of them are pursuing solo careers,

apparantly liz released a white label thing ages ago and
nothing more has been heard since

and I think the bassist did something on his own

Guthrie started a band - Violet Indiana and he`s quite happy
with it (they`re booooring, if you ask me), together with
Raymonde they`ve opened a label (Bella Union).

Fraser will sing on the new Massive Attack record, but she
should think about a solo release.

They were so great, the Cocteaus, my all time favourites!
(gonna play Head Over Heels now!)
