man!! john peel played this amazing tune last night and i was sure it was off the new boards album(not heard it yet) it was lush!! for get the artists name but it was on 'soul static' records???-then he played some made reggae/drill n bass stuff. i love that man peel. just thought id share that with you puffins ;> |

not wanting to sound like a name dropper, but i met him once at the bar after a broadcast gig at the old irish center in brum-he's such a nice bloke, he was genuinely interested in what music i was into. mentioned afx and his reply was 'oh,that cunt still owes me money'!!??-he was also goin on about how much he loves his autechre-but that they were a miserable pair of bastards when they did a peel session!! -yeah i hope im as clued up stuff throughout my life as that man-lets fuckin give it up for john!! |

I never really tune into Peel but have in the past and he plays some good stuff. And some bloody awful stuff too. I tape Giles Peterson's show every week, as well as One World. Nice to listen to on my way to work in the mornings. I should check out John Peel's show though. |

true, and i think he should have the walt disney treatment when he pops off-ie getting his slap frozed-he must have so much music going around in his head. i havn't got a photo of me, simply because ive tried but thsi ancient pc of mine just wont do it!!! dunno, maybes im doing something wrong. probably. |
