My dog has cancer. She's going to die in 10 months. I am
sad.

I first read that as "10 minutes" and that seemed a bit too
precise, heh...

sorry to hear that though, death is the worst part of owning
a pet. I hope she isn't suffering... :(

yeah this is the reason not to own pets. my dog is far away
from me in another city and it's very sick, too. can't walk
cause it hurts so my parents transport her outside for a
walk on a small carpet in the morning and evening.. the dog
is rather old so it is time for such things.

This is why cats are better, you just get the feeling
they're happy to deal with pain and death without whinging
and making you feel bad

i dont like most dogs except quiet ones, but sometimes i can
imagine how intense the relationship between a dog and
his/her owner must be.

I can imagine this so well (i have 2 cats and i always worry
that they will get run over by a car) that, like matvey
says, its almost a reason (for me) not to own pets.

when they die, sooner or later you will want a new pet,
although you know you can't replace your old one and it will
always feel a bit strange.

anyway i'm sorry to hear about your dog. the only thing that
might make it bearable is knowing that you made sure your
dog had a good life.

When dogs are sick they tend to want to be left alone
actually.

think about it

laniatus: i'm really sorry to hear that. that really sucks.

dannn_: that's a really shitty thing to say, because it is
entirely untrue. i lost one of my cats last weekend due to
a viral infection in his liver. we didn't know anything was
seriously wrong until he started screaming.

That's very sad indeed :(
Give her the best 10 months she ever had in her life.

btw: don't take bill_hicks's post serious... his life is
very boring and this is the way he try to get some
attention.

chillllll ooooooouuuutt you bunch of woofters, all my cats
have died over the years, and half of them I had killed by
trained proffesionals. turns out everyone I've ever loved
will or already has died. bit of a shit deal really, oh well

ahaha!

At least dogs can listen and learn and be taught things. You
can train them to do a variety of useful things. They can
help the blind walk, they work with the police force in
apprehending criminals and sniffing out drugs and even bring
you your slippers.

They play and express love and gratitude

I actually didn't anticipate a reply, so I just posted it
and left, but thanks for all of your support guys, in
everything. You're here for me with my little brother, and
this. You're the best.

Well it's probably for the best then... I don't think
bestiality is legal anymore outside of certain US states.

I feel bad after your nice words in the other thread. I

replace them with:

:( Sorry to hear about that.
