So my roomate and I just chugged 2 nati ice's a piece,
gifts from our friend upstairs (nooo, not god). it's really
watered down tasting and generally just skanky.. and I only
drink it when I have no alternatives. :D

basically, this stuff is shitty american beer at its
pinnacle. what shitty budget beer do the college kids and
generally frugal people drink in your area? I'm just
curious.

there are some quite shitty american beer. keystone being
one of these that comes to mind

for crappy american domestics i prefer MGD

for non crappy, but not exactly super duper high classy
import, i prefer dos equis (sp?)

anything beyond that costs too much. i'm damaging my liver,
so i don't find the need to spend much

dos equis is good stuff, btw, and coincidentally it is also
the most expensive beer that I will buy too.

Nattys Ice is something that really takes a seasoned pro to
drink. I can remember waking up on the floor in Madison and
scrounging for beers and all that was left was an untouched
dirty 30 of nattys.

Ug. Warm first beer after a nights drinking makes the gag
reflex kick in. Hardest beer to drink hands down next to
Pabst and Milwaukee's Best (beast) which is ironicly our
worst beer.

College kids drink beast by the kegs. Its insanely cheap
here. like what... $4.99 for a 24 pack. Something like that.
Common as fuck.

-----------

There are a shit load of brews produced by small companies
here that are extremely awesome though. This is a good city
for it. I drink miller products usually because they are
reasonably priced and get me drunk and i tolerate them.

If i want good beer i go to large scale liquer stores and
drink stout no doubt. Once again Dogfish head and New
Glarius are tops. New Glarius cannot fail. Every beer i have
had of theirs has been overly excellent. Even their new
lager called "totally naked" which goes well at chicken
making it a staple beer at BW3's.
-------

Its crazy that someone else has drank nattys and is still
living. People have thrown up their organs because of that
crap.

hahah, yes, milwaukee's best... you know the execs of that
company are just laughing their balls off right now. it
really is milwaukee's worst.

I'll have to try New Glarius, it sounds interesting, and
somewhat like a space colony in the future. :)

Its like someone ran water through a dirty line and canned
it. Unbelievable that they still sell it.

New Glarius has a great coffee stout. They have a common
tapper here called "spotted cow" which is amazing. The
raspberry is excellent. They have some Indian ale of some
sort that is great among numerous others.

You should all try Nastro Azzuro or San Miguel, the best
europe can give.
