Those are the best dreams :) Here's to having more of them

What Smiths album is a must have?

Actually, I don't mean to be pedantic, but the lyrics are
"last night I dreamt that someBODY loved me".

I don't think any single Smiths albums is a must have - I
think they all are. But I suppose The Queen is Dead might be
the easiest "way in". Once you're hooked on that, you won't
be able to stop yourself from buying the others.

I agree. The best band ever, bar none. There's nothing I
don't like about them.

two nights ago I dreamt that a group of japanese tourists
came into our flat through the door that goes out to the
roof. for some reason I spoke perfect japanese, but they
just refused to believe that I wasn't joking when I told
them they couldn't sightsee here.

I would agree with manicminer, although i think meat is
murder is a fine choice.

i would easy say The Queen Is Dead is there best album and
after that i think that the album called The Smiths comes
second.

And there is a good compilations out there called Louder
Then Bombs Start with them and you will be fine

yeah. 'somebody' it is. and i knew that, probably. but i'll
blame johnny walker. and his wily ways.

and yeah, i'd go for 'the queen is dead' or 'meat is
murder'.

the smiths are fucking great... I wish I could have seen
them live back in the day.

I'd say the easiest 'way in' is the Singles album... It's
got most of the classics on there, IMO.

Yeah, but the problem with singles albums is that, if you
then fall in love with the band (which, with the Smiths, is
very probable) and buy all the "real" albums, then you're
left with a redundant "singles" collection from which you
own all the tracks on the full albums. If you see what I
mean.

I only ever buy singles albums if I know I won't end up
buying all of the band-in-question's full albums.

I once had a brief dream where I was in love with a woman
carrying our child. It was bliss. Then I woke up, made some
cereal, took a dump and forgot about it, untill now! Theres
still a spark somewhere in me :D

the best part is she got in touch a day or two later -
result. i reckon she still wants it, too. she even said she
wanted to come over and see me. cool. yes, cool but i've got
a girlfriend. Though my ex was shit hot in bed.

What to do, eh? sure i'll think of something.....

"the queen is dead" is my favourite just before "meat is
murder" and "the smiths" ; i alos like the peel session
"hatful of hollow" but don't like their fourth album
"strangeways here we come" ; get the first 3 they are
awesomely ace

I've actually had at least two of these dreams where I met
Morrissey and he loved me, or at least liked me a lot.

And I think you're pretty much required to buy all the
Smiths' albums, plus the comps, it's not like it's a big
investment.

have some work to do.

I always think this song is really different to the rest of
The Smiths stuff, the music sounds very very Radiohead and
Morrissey sings like a normal bloke
