So you've stopped giving abuse to him, though still take the
piss. Ok, if you say you've finished, I will watch with
baited breath.

Not meaning to appear like an arrogant prick who goes around
correcting grammatical errors, but wasn't that a question? I
think you forgot to add a question mark at the end, surely?

About us: i'm not 'friends' (i think this is a
lost-in-translation thing) with tridenti, but i'm going to
be civil with him as long as he doesn't start spamming
again.

Yes, and surely you don't think i'd make a mistake like that
by mistake?

I know my grammar. I put the full stop there to indicate an
intonation, which, I know, is completely unconventional, but
it works.

"About what." compared to "about what?" doesn't have the
shift of pitch at the end of 'what' indicating a question,
and is much sharper and colder.

That's why I specifically put the full-stop there.

Fair enough. Matter closed. Please refrain from your
school-boy cussing, I'm not a knob. Just making
observation.

Peace.

Yep, I apologise about that, but I thought it'd be
blantantly clear what the (knob) thing was about after
jarworski (echadniarb, i imagine) posted 'twat' in a number
of topics.

As do I. I just don't go around makiing an issue about it.

offline redrum from the allman brothers band (Ireland) on 2005-06-30 04:54 [#01648735]
Points: 12878 Status: Addict

Ah.. well..

If I made an issue about it, i would never rest on this
board.

There are just a few errors that really, really tick me off,
and I can't help but correct them.

It's not a holier-than-thou thing but unfortunately people
always take it like that - I'm percieved as "attacking"
their linguistic skills which are so fundamental and
instrinsic to our beings that people get very agitated.

I just want to help people communicate more clearly :/

I want to attend councilling (sp?) but I don't have the
money. I was thinking about setting up a fund for xlt
members to donate to before what credability I had went down
the drain with the tridenti saga.

tridenti and redrum:

why dont you keep your issues in private?

the rest of the board is tired of reading your "come and go"
love posts

redrum, you might have a point when you say that a high % of
tridenti´s posts are spam... but think of this: you are
becoming equally tiring, cos now 80% of your posts are
directed to bash tridenti

please, both of you, keep it private (email, messenger,
aol...) or simply leave it

I can't for the life of me figure out why I read threads
like these, reading this back and forth bantering, it's
tiresome.

Let's all make love and forget about our differences.
Although some of our differences will be taken into account
for the making love part.

I find these threads entertaining. Until some interesting
new electronic music comes out (wait, someone needs to make
another thread about the new Royksopp album!) these threads
are bubbly enough.

I have no idea why you'd want a thread about anything
Royksopp when you want interesting new electronic music.

i did think that, and then recent events made me post that
message. i was just testing the water, figuring i'd get
these messages in response.

that clears that one up then.
