Please!!! I cannot, for some reason, hear .wav files on my PC. On the volume control, when I have a wav playing the equalizer is moving to indicate that it's playing... but there's no sound! I'm using Windows ME and am considering sticking XP on to see if this helps... I know there's next to no chance that anyone can solve this without coming round my house and looking at the fucking thing but a coupla suggestions would be real nice cause this is driving me fucking CRAZY!!!!

In the mixer panel, is the wave channel enabled? And the volume high? Also check the master volume

You can also check in your multimedia settings which device is used to play the wave files... maybe that one is incorrectly configured
