LAZY_TITLE

This is new to me. Am i right in thinking i can plug one of
these straight into my router and it acts as a wireless hard
drive?

Its not wireless its self because it plugs into the router,
but if you are using a computer on a wireless LAN then
essentially I guess it is.

If it is a Network Attatched Storage (NAS) drive, then yeah,
you should be able to just plug it in and access it like you
would any computer on the network (\\nasdevice).

It shouldn't matter if your router is wireless or not - so
long as the NAS disk is plugged directly into the it.

Why dont you just get one of those USB external drives, and
plug it into your computer?

i use a laptop. I just bought all the stuff i need for
wireless broadband when i move house on thursday.

The laptop has 30gb hard drive. I currently use an 80gb usb
hard drive, but i want to free up the laptop completely.

I buy most of my stuff from www.ebuyer.co.uk, but used to
buy from www.insight.com/uk

Check out there website, because I know you can order on the
phone if you dont want to buy on the internet.

haha its not a security issue! I just want it NOW. Sorry for
the misunderstanding.

My new issue is that misco website says the shop is open on
sundays but that the phone lines are closed on sundays. Is
it open, is it closed, does it stock what i want, doesnt it?
etc. Fuck it i think i'll go anyway. Nothing else to do.

GAH. i went all the feckin way down there, to find they were
out of stock on ALL models except one (the most expenive
one). I succumb and bought the most expensive one, trawled
back to my house, plugged it in, only to find the bastard
thing has a faulty plug. Not even one i can change easily
(some european connection bollocks). So now i have to take
it back. What a day! Still, weather is nice :)

Sorry to hear that. Why don't you just phone them tomorrow
and get them to post you the correct one. That way it will
save you the trip.
