Does anyone rate Cylob? I want to check out the album. Its
supposed to be well different. Bells and stuff. Let me know
if anyone has heard it.

yeah Cylobian Sunset is an utter delight!
Weird melodies like BOC but very different.

I bought his new single and thought it was shite, so I
didn't dare buy the new album... anyone out there got it?

What?! You didn't like Cut the Midrange. And What Shall We
Do With...?

What shall we do with a drunken sailer is great and
hillarious. Though it is the only song I've heard off Cut
the Midrange Drop the Bass. Cylobian sunset is a great
album but the rest I've heard are a bit hit and miss.

Yeah I'm a bit bored of that apple speak voice or whatever
it's called.

I've got Loops & Break too... good
When I 1st got it I thought they'd cocked up and sent me 2
copies!

careful : "cut the midrange..." is totally different from
"mood bells"...

mood bells is nice when totally stoned or having a intimate
rendez-vous ;-)

sounds cool

Mood bells is like you step in a chinese shrine, and then
the monks are starting a concert for you using only bells
and gongs.
And then time slows down, and you are sleeping into
Alpha-state...

I thought cylob sucked till I heard sunset...I also like
"With This Ring" which is clearly the hottest track on Cut
the Midrange.

good discription actually. first i was disappointed - i use
to buy rephlex-stuff without listening before - but now i
kind of like it...

mood bells is very different to rephlex and cylob norm. a
far cry from the happy go lucky rewind and cut the midrange
yet the experimental chimes and randomness of mood bells is
most definately amazing. great to loose yourself to with a
little smoke or two...

i dunno on which album the good tracks are, but Dope on a
Rope or balzouf are not bad. ol'scool like, a bit afx-ish in
his youg years, no ?

I have the cylob album - mood bells... and it's quite
different to be honest. Nothing to cheer about, and a lot of
the same sounds over and over again. But on the other hand,
it has a strange soothing effect... First time i heard it, i
was working, and i actually boosted my productivity...

( could also be totally coincidental, actually )

i wouldn't recommend his new album. i bought about 4 weeks
ago, and i've only listened through it once. sort of a
concept album, really. meditation style.

him in their flat... covered in his own vomit; suffocated.

i highly doubt mtv would waste their time with someone like
cylob. i mean... no one in the mtv world even knows who the
guy is. mtv is shite.

someone, who knows cylob, told me, that the bells on "mood
bells" are actually played "live". no sampling or something.
strange...

but, the more you listen to it the better it gets....

Is it melodic? Is it a bit rambling? I read the descriptions
and it sounded really interesting.

I've never been a big fan.
I like a few tracks off Cylobian Sunset, especially 'diof'.
I like 'with this ring' off Cut the Midrange, the one song
nobody ever mentions.
I still haven't heard lobster tracks.
