Having heard this few times I want recommend to you a
really good net release by AWT, Winter and Spring. The
description says: atmospheric drill&bass idm, which sounds a
little stupid, but it is in fact a tasty mixture of drum
goodnes diped in plesant ambience. Enouhg said. Enjoy.

good idea to call the thread "atmospheric drill&bass idm" if
you find it to sound stupid =P

No, seriously, im glad you liked it

good evening indeed!

ha! don`t get me wrong, i found the description stupid, not
the sound

i would never guess that _awt_ is AWT (it`s only 3 letters
and it didn`t catch my attention when i played it...)!

but in that case let me praise you!

well, since I`m an "artist" myself i feel the irresistible
urge for expressing my gratitude toward all those creators
out there, and by coincidence i met you, so...

Yeah I understand, I just mean that if you say you like my
music that's enough to make me feel that ive done at least
something good, there's no need to say things like "thank
you for making this great music", it's only really hard to
reply on those type of things.. and yeah, I simply
appreciate knowing that some people like my music, that is
great and all that.

Im not really good at taking "praise" I just feel silly as
im only enjoying myself making tunes, if other people then
me like it it's great though.

I dont know how to explain, you understand what I mean im
sure.

Hey, no ive allways been awt.. Winter and spring is a
re-release that was originally released on audible
stimulants but lately got re-mastered and re-released on
experimedia.net, if that part got you confused..

Ive never had any other pseudonyms nope, I might though if I
ever make some more "dancy" live'ish stuff.. wich probably
wont happen haha (it has been on my mind like, forever
though)

redrum: Thanks!

gvarek: glad you like spratt eller snask!

Im glad it sounds to your taste..

Im pretty much an fl studio n00b, made winter and spring in
fl3, the later albums in both 3 and 4 and now lately im
using 5... but the "close up" wave editing in fl sucks so im
using wavelab (wich i love) for all the detail fixing, 1ch
recording and similar.. lately ive been using recycle to cut
up breaks for me too even though i normally prefer doing it
"by hand" in wavelab, just been a bit lazy lately =D

you have to get this vst called phatmatik pro vst. it a loop
slicer like recycle but also has the features of a sampler.
and it's so much easier to work with, because you don't have
to load up all the sliced samples in your sequencer. it does
it all for you.

Allright, i dowloaded the demo, will test it tomorrow (no
program, vst, audio harddrive here.)

Also, have you worked with multytrack recording in cubase ?
ive heard that it's good for that, have tested the program
in my old school but it was under strict forced learning
programs so I honestly didnt learn shit haha.

Im considering to get a sequencer to rewire with FL, I suck
at learning new programs though but I feel like widening my
options just a bit more

aww...
i was hoping this would be a discussion of favored beat
breakups to mix the awkward idm beats with the methodical
drillbass beats...

>sigh<

nobody loves me

yes many times, mostly for my bass guitar and mic. it's very
good for that.

great, I wish i knew how to play a bass guittar (or an
contra bass for that mather), it looks real fun to play bass
when you know how to do it haha.

Im getting Cubase LE with the firebox audiointerface I just
ordered, perhaps that can be an decent start.

double basses are the shit
i got to fiddle around with one when i was taking classical
in college in r.i.
funnest thing in the world, much nicer than my old beat up
acoustic guitar, although a bit tougher to mic up, and/or
drag around to shows
c'est la vie i guess
