Once when I was living in florida, I saw a man capture a small ray with his fishing rod. he did it by accident. I think they killed it.

Yeah. I quite like them. Although I am a fan of most sharks. (rays are not totally sharks, but they are related in the same way spiders and scorpions are related).

"In fact, what it's about seems to me to be wonderfully irrelevant. Beauty doesn't have to be about anything. What's a vase about? What's a sunset or a flower about? What, for that matter, is Mozart's 23rd Piano Concerto about? It is said that all art tends toward the condition of music, and music isn't about anything - unless it's not very good music. Film music is about something. "The Dam Busters' March" is about something. A Bach fugue, on the other hand, is pure form, beauty, and playfulness, and I'm not sure that very much, in terms of human art and achievement, lies beyond a Bach fugue. Maybe the quantum electrodynamic theory of light. Maybe Uncle Fred Flits By, i don't know...."

the ideology is in the sound, its inside the melody.
example: detroit-techno, you can feel the crimridden city, you can invision the abandoness, ala. william gibson once said that the modern city is quite possibly Detroit.

you can find those sort of feelings and ideas in any music no? but it doesn't neccessarilly means there's an ideology behind it.
anyway, this is an old thread :)

yes music without lyrics brings all types of emtions, about anything it reminds you of, not some wanker screaming into a micraphone telling you what to think and feel
