I'll check when I close slsk later on. My comp is old.

i prefer the second part, from about 2'10''...probably
because of that wah wah synth....it's not there in the
second part, which is more relaxed. the melody and drums in
the second part are better.

I listened with slsk open.. it made it skip in some places,
but it sounds very nice! I don't care how IDM the drums are,
they were nice! they fit the track really good, and I wish I
knew how to make drums like this... it sounds like a process
of sorts... nice melodies, but that synth that's in the
beginning sounds like it distorts in some places... it would
actually work, though, if you just distorted it to make it
sound "warmer." Isn't there something called tape distortion
or something?

hey thanks for listening.
I listend to my track again. but I can't hear the distortion
you are talking about. can you pinpoint the time where it
distoirts according to you?

well, I'm not sure if it is distortion or just the filter
that has a bad resonance at times, but it's pretty much all
the way through as long as that synth plays... it's just a
peak of sorts that sounds a bit hard.

no skipping there for me...you mean tape delay ? :)

i listened again aftre a while and i like it more. i like
the drums, but the melody - not my sounds, i'd use
something different, or maybe lower the key. maybe it's
cause i have a little headache and high-pitched sounds sting
my brain today :)

oh, the skipping is just my comp fucking.. and I didn't
really mean tape delay, but.. there is some setting on some
distortion thingies that just makes it sound "warmer," and I
think this often is called "tape" or something...

yeah I know what you mean. tape distortion was correct.
I use it sometimes on beats to make them a bit phatter.
if you record to tape a little louder then you have to you
get a form of compression the result is tha the tape
thickens up the sound and makes it warmer like you said.

This is really good. I expected something typical; some
mashed up drum programming, some atmospheric ambient synths
warbling around (which isn't bad, but it's been done quite a
bit...)

However, I really liked the optimistic melodies and the
industrial-ish beats. Sounds nice and fresh. :)
