Not if you believe in the Matrix, like me.

that bloke is such a dickslap and would very likely lamp you
when pissed on a Friday night in town. He speaks volumes
about modern British youth.

Yes, the show may well be considered an insight into the sad
state of our society, however, such a presumption would be
unfair - the majority of people aren't like this, bb
just picks the most controversial spoilt shits to pick on
for our entertainment. It's nice to see those that proclaim
they enjoy watching people suffer (e.g. Craig), suffer
themselves.

What is it with that guy Graig. Is he
straight/bi/confused/abstinent? Annoying duplicitous wretch
that he is I can't help but love him for his cackhandedness.

Well, it's slightly worrying the levels people go to for
literally two-seconds of fame (if they even get that far), a
bollocks amount of money and complete national humiliation.
Take Jade Goody for example. I weep every time I see her.
And even worse people flaunt their more embarassing features
in the hope of winning. It's a psycho social experiment. Who
would willingly volunteer to be put in a hamster cage and be
videoed having tv's first live sex? And now it's getting
worse. People are deliberately being put together for their
conflicting attitudes: one gay and one homophobic etc. It's
highly disturbing and more disturbing is everyone's sudden
desire to actually watch the decadence... and talk about
it... and base their conversations on it... and... *breaks
off unable to continue* Basically, yes, sun is hot, BB is
shit.

and a matrix within a matrix? Can't we be happy with just
one? o.O

It's funny because Jade Goody is probably the most
successful of all BB contestants ever. I bet she doesn't
have to work. Tub of shit.

Heh, sure she works.... never heard of a Jade Goody work-out
video? ;) She's exactly the sort of person I want to tell me
about weight-loss and style tips....

Yeah, the irony! However, I wouldn't call that work; more a
measure of fame.

BB is one of the only things I watch on TV; at least
it's
real

Do you mean it's real and spontaneous when people know that
they're being watched all the time ?

offline Exaph from United Kingdom on 2005-06-08 06:16 [#01626343]

Yes.

Exactly Obara: the whole thing is an act anyway. There was a
documentary on the interviews for people who got rejected.
It was worse than the actual show. People were deliberately
being as mad and as anti-social as possible to get on. It
was the same with stuff like pop idol I believe.

As for work-out videos being the measure of fame... er, just
shoot me before I sink to such levels. Please. (official
disclaimer: I hope none of you have work-out video
aspirations. Cause sorry.)

And do You believe that it's worth watching bb when You know
there is nothing REAL in what those people say or do ?

say YES again

sorry.

well... you're obviously a genuine person. You'd be
surprised what people can do for fame. Besides, it doesn't
require 24/7 performance... just a good blast of it every so
often. Somehow you could trust the editing crews to edit out
you acting normally and cut straight to the drama in
highlights and the permanant Channel4 re-runs they seem to
do.

Oh, who knows? I'm just being cynical.

Big Brother is awful and awfully simple, and an awful lot of
people watch it. This would suggest that an awful lot of
people don't need much to occupy their tiny minds.
Work, have some dinner, go and drink, shout in the street,
watch Big Brother and laugh uproariously at it. Sleep.
Repeat.

the only reality programme i ever enjoyed was that one
called "shattered" no one could sleep in it at all otherwise
you were out.was really fun to watch the last 2 days when
they went mad from sleep depravation, only on for a week so
it wasent to tedious either

haha true :)

another pain about big brother is that newspapers seem to
regard it as actual news, like 'a bomb has been dropped on
france...a peodophile has ravaged a bus load of kids...and
in tonights big brother jade will stand on one leg while
wearing a big hat'. its so annoying.

-.- quite. I swear that punch up in the last series got
front page news in all the tabloids and was encroaching on
the broadsheets too. And there were the pics of screaming
knife-weilding bb members and everyone just shook their
heads. Give them all ASBOs. Like that 11 year old and that
other girl who repeatedly tie naked men to lamp posts. argh.

I actually don't like a single one of them. + they
constantly argue about 'intelligence' when none of them even
have any. There's one in particular I hate. She's like an
overweight chavvy northerner with tits like udders.

oh. erm... I believe this is her quote thing: Why do you
think your fellow housemates may nominate you?:
"For being a bitch, for stirring things up and the because
the other girls will be jealous as the boys would want me."

-- so not you then?

I never saw "shattered." Forgive my ignorance, but isn't it
possible to die if you do activities and haven't slept for a
few days? The longest I've been up is 48 hours, I and felt
like I was going mad.

draining, stuff like painting and crafts.technically you
cant die from sleep deprivation but you do hallucinate big
time, one guy kept talking to the plants in the little
garden i nealy choked on my dinner when i seen that hehe

i'm really enjoying it this year. it's all about what you
can get out of it. but surely this goes without saying if
you can't get anything out of it then why are you indeed
even talking about it?
