I have all ready gone wildly over the top praising the
exquisite joy of The Other People Place, officially one of
my favourite albums ever. To spare the board my gushing
effusiveness once more, I will limit myself to saying, I
agree with you.

Buy it because it's very good and don't listen to anyone who
says it's boring. Pitchfork said it quite well, but I've cut
it out of the usual 30,000 essay and leave this nugget of
insight:

"This is not a record that stand up and says, "Hey! Look
at me!" Much of the charm of Lifestyles of the Laptop Café
comes from its subtlety. The beats, sounds and attitudes are
muted and expertly designed."

It's, as Vlari says, almost too good.

Oh yes, good choice! I can just listen to any of the old
Detroit masters, I don't know what it is, but the music from
those chaps is always more than just the sum of its parts.
Endlessly enjoyable.

i like very much, i love this drexcyian style. lush
production and warm melodies. way ahead of its time.. and i
love the other world stories they manage to craft with theit
albums.

Every time a topic about this album pops up it makes me
happy.

Other People Place is lovely. I was very dissapointed with
other drexciya stuff after listening to this.

this is an awesome record, ohh so cool.

i can't decide what my favorite drexciya related thing is,
maybe this, but i really like both of the japanese telecoms
(just wish the songs were longer, i love pagoda of sin!) and
omg wireless internet, that third song is kick ass (yay i
just got it in the mail) ohh and transllusion. my boyfriend
is awesome, he got me a ton of drexciya and related records
for my birthday last week, i'm so lucky
