maybe classified under rock/indie rock, though i've seen it
under metal as well (because of the second album, probably -
the first one -Taxidermy- is more intimate and the second
one -Drink Me- more aggressive)...

the singer, Katie Jane Garside, has a very beautiful and
fragile (almost childlike) voice but with also something
evil in it...

her previous band was called Daisy Chainsaw, they have an
album called Eleventeen which i recommend as well : )

*forgot to mention the "raw sexuality" (or so i've seen it
described) in her voice too. which seems to annoy some
people by the way.

i don't know but if i hadn't been introduced to this band by
some other people, i'd believe i'm the only one interested
in it/liking it... i made a topic about it on another forum
→ no replies at all. ' _'

I remember Daisy Chainsaw... that Love love love all your
money, and "Pink Flower" I liked... though that was... 115
years ago.

Hey, I was there.

It was really funny, all those ugly goth kids trying to
touch her while she was having spasms all over the stage.

yes
at first i didn't like it as much as the first two, but
after a few listens it grew up on me... musically, it's in
the continuity of Drink Me; but it's darker, more
"ill", more unsettling.

'Childproof' is among my very favourite tracks of the band -
though it's really not representative of the album, it's a
nice (bitter-)sweet acoustic song. the title-track and
'Suck' are also excellent.
