i don't like to admit it, but it sounds fair enough...

...except that there would be many abuses and "mistakes",
and that would be just wrong.

well you'd obviously only be allowed to pass a death
sentence if there was irrefutable evidence involved
(forensics, cctv etc as mentioned by ceri jc) and it would be
the victims who decide wether the senence was actually
carried out and it would be them that flicked the switch (if
they wanted too).

Personally I think this is the way forward, it removes the
criminals from society whilst providing one of the most pure
and satisying methods of therapy for the victim, revenge.

I have to dissagree with you there. Its important that we
get to the point where we are to remove chronic offenders
from society (this is going to be inevitable, as violent
crime is perpetually on the rise), but I do not agree with
killing anything. Penal colony.

I generally don't agree with killing anything, I've had
major feelings of guilt after using fly spray but I would
quite happily flick the switch on someone that had harmed or
killed someone I was close to, maybe the victims should be
allowed to torture them instead or something.

I really don't think the media help in any way; front-padge
reports probably highten the craze. And then you get pricks
like 50 cent rammed down your throat, bigging up violence
and what not - i think these kids are massively influenced
by such twats.. and it just remains completely overlooked.

There seems to be no censorship or anything for kids
anymore. And then you get the fucking useless solutions from
headteachers and parents; ban phones from school. What the
fuck will that do? Ruin it for everyone, it doesnt solve the
problem or deal with the real issues at hand. Same with
banning hoodies; as if, like chavs are gonna go "shit can't
wear my hoodie" yeah right.

I think most of these chavs are probably cowards, and the
phone is probably a mere excuse at the end of the day. I
think this country (UK) is too soft as well. They know they
can get away with it. They should be sent to some sort of
brat-camp or whatever. Or have some sort of fucking nasty
punishment (capital in the extreme) - cos prevention is
better than cure I reckon..

I can't stand fake ass gangsta rap myself but I dunno if you
can really blame the music, I listened to Iron Maiden and
AC/DC when I was a kid but I didn't turn into a blood
drinking satanist. 50 cent is a dick though, the only rapper
for me is MC Pitman.

I'm not blaming it entirely but I think a gangsta influence
definately resonates through the chavs, esp. the way the
speak "i'll bitch-slap ya" etc... send them to iraq.

the only rapper I can bear to listen to is Mike Skinner from
the Streets, all the rest just piss me off. People like 50
pence and The Lame (The Game) dont care what culture they're
helping to promote as long as they've got enough money to
hide away in the penthouses and hollywood mansions. They
must be in denial, if they can comprehend such a thing.

actually death punishment sounds fair enough to the victim
(or some victims), i do understand that, but it would be
quite... "insane"...

maybe they're just stupid and irresponsible, not meaning
evil - but what would be "fair" in that case? i don't
know...

would be quite funny if they'd be sentenced to be punched
real hard like they did... but that would be like a fight,
they'd punch back and again and again until someone gives up
or can't continue or dies...

maybe a big fine would be better, but even then, if they're
poor their family would have to pay for it and suffer from
poverty even more although they're not really responsible,
and if they're rich they wouldn't care at all...

prison?

i really don't know.
well, anyway there should be punishment for that, not just
telling go - but what if you can't prove...

the problem is that if you defend yourself punching back,
there are chances you'd be sued even if you didn't do
anything wrong...

they should just have their hoods sewn to the back of their
hoodies. Without then they'd lose all confidence that they
once had since there is no more anonymity.
