The mix

I suddenly decided I'd do a short mix of sweet tracks from
japanese artists (I'm not sure they're all japanese,
but from the names, I wouldn't really expect anything else..
or at least japanese lineage). No matter their nationality
(why the fuck did I make a mix from japan, then?!), the
music is sweet! Had some trouble with the match at times due
to the artists not keeping the beat, but somehow it didn't
matter.. or maybe it did, but I'm in that mood where nothing
really matters too much, or at least not in a negative way.
Happy thoughts! Enjoy!

(If anyone knows more stuff that sounds like this, I'd
welcome recommendations as well!)

Tracklist

00:00 - Mitchell Akiyama - Contrpunal Lung Apparatus
04:09 - Nobukazu Takemura - Curious Child
05:30 - Takagi Masakatsu - Angje
09:04 - Yuichiro Fujimoto - Small mountain (funny sidenote:
I giggled when acid was loading this file and it said
"building peaks for small mountain.mp3")
12:06 - Takagi Masakatsu - Opfern
13:47 - Keiichi Suzuki - Zatoichi OST track 12

..and thanks to tolstoyed for wonderful recommendations!

it was fun to make at least! a challenge due to the
sometimes shifting beats, and I know there's some stuff
thjat's off in there, but it's still only my 5th mix, so...

(oh, and one last note before I bed myself: recommendations
don't have to be japanese as long as it is something I would
like if I like this.. or.. something... and whatever. sex!)

I'm so crap at checking things out lately, but I did
listen to it earlier today while I made breakfast, I just
didn't review it straight away. I will do it now:

The tracks were nice, I don't know much about this nipponese
stuff, but I did like most of them. The style was very
coherent due to your selection and made it flow very nicely.
Technically it was good too, I never got that frown I get
when the mixing is crap (I do get them when listening back
to my own stuff sometimes...), so yay to that.

Summary: good stuff

This is a great mix to wake up with, for a peaceful start of
the day...

or

This is a great mix to doze off, I bet you'll sleep like a
log after hearing this...

The choice of records on this one is very subtile (all the
songs were new to me), nice and easy sounding mix dude!
Those who like to hear something different should check this
shit out, it has a very high ZEN proportion. I enjoyed it
very much.

Definitely not recommended for cycle racing!

great! thanks!

yeah, I like that minimalistic tinkery sounding stuff.. you
get the feeling they really ARE just playing with it and
still manage to put together amazing melodies!
