this fucking venue had wooden floors and was on the second level of the building. i was feeling the physics of that shit hard core. explosive beats. sick ass rhythms, hip hop destruction, serious autechre business as usual. the SND dudes, sean, rob, and rob (hall) are some fuckin chill ass dudes, nice to chat with. he punched the truck. met this bad ass girl who was at the concert all by herself cause she digs AE hardcore. got her info. after the show we is chilling in my friends apt talking about autechre & the show and shit... got her number: SCORE. austin's a nice place too, nice scene, way fuckin better than DFW... last night was probably one of the best nights of my life. ill def be coming back here. anyway yeah if autehcre is coming to your town these next few weeks do noooooot fucking miss the show and if you are going prepared to be destroyed by fat physical devastation beats and ear pressuring demon-robot possesed sound waves... |

it was more devastating than last nights show. and yea we had a fuckin blast. and yeah im with you, a young cute girl at an autechre show... ALL BY HERSELF. something's up. the set was different. it'd be so easier to describe the differences if the songs had names. the very ending man, that cataclysmic outro was more fatter than last nights show cause it had this tight little kinda/sorta inflection going with it, and the beats were getting fucked up, getting stopped and switched up. biggest difference was the like 6th or 7th "beat", it's the one that is very headbangable dude. its like, BOMP, BOMP..... BOMP-BOMP--BOMP. for some reason tonight that one was sicker and fat. there were definitely more inflections and voice type things tonight. lots more fucking it up. i was devastated by all of it. dallas show was hiroshima (13,000 ton explosion) austin show was nagasaki (20 kiloton explosion) |

amazing show. better than the 2001 show, which fucking killed. i'm glad they had it at the parish(formerly the mercury) again, my favorite venue in town, with the best sound system in town. can't wait to do this next time around. 4 years is too long to wait. the crowd was cool for the most part. i must be getting old, but at 23, i felt like there were *a lot* of kids younger than me at the show. remember that part about 5-10 minutes into it where they dropped those phat beats that built up over a minute. damn that good! |
