hello everyone....i'd like to take you on a magical trip.... this is a fresh project that i put together with my mate. if you like the tracks that's great ! and if you don't like them.....that's ok too ! anyway, any technical/mixing comments and suggestions would be most welcome thanks ! |

caebabyd - A little more work on the sound pallette would improve things, The main melody sound is a little bland. The beats are interesting but could do with being punchier. I like that the track has lots of layers to it, some nice details in there. I would head back to the mix down stage and cook it a little longer. nowy - This is my favourite of the three tracks, much more thoughtful sound selection, I enjoyed the jazzy break and lush keys at the start of the track, the only thing i didn't like was the bass.. until half way into the track it begins to get more exciting. It's nice and subtle...good effort rekomora 2 - Again the beats are interesting, I thought the textures were a little too loud and abrasive in the mix but I like the vocal ambience part. This needs injecting with some extra sounds and variation to keep it exciting, I got a little bored after 2 minutes. Apologies for being overcritical, I personally like my work being picked at when i get reviewed to help me improve. I can see you put a lot of time and effort into this, it's a good attempt but just needs a little extra attention in places. Good luck with your future stuff :) |

Mat : thanks a lot, did you really expect any lyrics ? :) KADO : excellent review , thanks for your time. You're not overcritical, that's very helpful. You're right, those tracks haven't been much mixed yet. They sound quite lame. My mate has just started making music and this project is sort of to help him start. We chose the tracks/ideas we both like. And we got to the moment when we need to have someone objective enough to show us the weak points. Thanks again. oh, and bump bump bump. |
