Its a step down from Asect:Dsect. Really only worth it for
the long scary soundscape tracks and the short ambient ones.
The beats on this one are uninspiring and dont even compare
to energy of songs like 'Floccus' and 'Corina Chirac'. Even
the chill-out-glitch hop of the album 'Timach' isn't a
worthy successor to its forefather 'Randale'. Although its
nice, its melodies are completely weak. Sorry Richard. I'm
not surprised Vsnares decided to pick this generidm
album up. The artwork is ace tho.

Dear weatheredstoner,

Sorry, I'll do better next time.

Sincerely,
Richard Devine

I actually quite like this one, although it is more of a
'b-sides' thing. It has three of my favorite unrelease
devine songs.

Someday you're going to release an album but it'll be like 5
years from now and I'll not know the alias used and never
get to hear it or know it has been released.

Heh... maybe ;)

It will probly have taxis hidden somewhere in the title
though.

That track sample you posted was good. It has lots of
replay value too.

It did feel like a b-sides follow up to Asect. Maybe thats
what Richie gave Aaron.

I think it's allright.
the tracks Sigstop and Arc Acid alone are worth it.
but asect:dsect was maybe just a bit better.
I don't really like those weird soundscape thingies.
Timach isn't bad. but not very strong melodywise.
so all in all the album is pretty good imo. although the
sounds are all a bit same-ish.

I understand how the sound are a bit same-ish, but I really
like Asect more because its got a more 'tribal' feel on a
lot of the tracks (expecially the ones with headbangin
beats).

The Otto Von collab and Funkstorung track is a big yawn too

so it appears weatheredstoner was banned.

i was going to get this album because everyone was ranting
and raving about it in the thread pomme created (and, i do
like the man's music to an extent)

and then i thought nah i won't get it after reading this

but i'm still gonna get it. i'm just not very excited for
it.

Did you see that thing on the news where Jared Fogel was
talking up the new Devine release?

"It's pretty tight," he said.

i also heard he used the word 'fresh' which caused his lips
to undulate, which caused the interviewer to immediately
blow chunks.

listening again

fucking awesome

after a couple of listens I noticed it lacks some "real
tracks".
lots of those one minute fillers which are cool but sound
more like just experiments. the remixes are a bit
disapointing too especially the funkstoring one. I bet even
I could've done a better job at remixing sigstop. the otto
von schirach collab is cool if you like soundwanking. I like
some soundwank now and then :p. so basicly I only like
Sigstop, arc acid and timach.

asct:dsect is still his best: I heard Floccus on a PA one
and it just sounds PHAT. I like most of the track on that
album. Floccus, Corina chirac, itsuko, Rusx free,
halicrafter, Captract, Randale and ambers prelude....that
the whole album basicly.

but sigstop alone is just worth it. I mean, this track just
kicks huuuge amounts of ass. beats vsnares imo.

i think some of you may be right
with the "b-sides" comment.. he
didn't even mention SUBLIGHT
the night he performed on our
radio show... so it sounds like
the album was compiled shortly
after mid-january... hmm.. @_@

too many mushrooms and speed and mescaline and marijuana and
heroin and acid and tobacco and morning glory and opium and
viagra for one man to try and put on an album and try to
come up with some worth grasping

too out there for my taste buds, just get me a beer and some
K.D. Lang on the stereo. HAH
