For those of you that design music using the computer, what
do you find is the best way to setup a monitoring system? Do
you find its best to invest in a computer oriented speaker
system or does anyone rig up more traditional studio
monitors to the computer? Curious what you people are doing.

4 motherfuckers = 2 guitar amps and 2 x 5ft tall stereo
speakers

you cant make music with phones.... you wont hear it as it
should be, unless you got fuckin' expensive ones. Besides,
it will eventually fuck up your ears mate.

teapot: Geez, you live in some sort of bunker? What does
your neighbours say about that....

yes, headphones... decent ones of coarse. your able to pick
out sounds easy, etc... but hearing your mix on multiple
systems is a good thing too, don't just trust the way it
sounds on a certain stereo.

I use headphones most often, although I find a significant
difference between what frequencies are most audible with
headphones and those from ambient room sound or car stereo;
that's why Im wondering if anyone put up real monitors from
the computer (Im curious how you did it and which type).
