Actually, a chinook is a weather phenomenon that occurs in the north when it is extremely cold, and then a pressure system or warm front moves in, creating a very short spurt of warmth. I forget why it happens, but its usually around mountainy areas. It can be snowing out and still be warm enough for a T-Shirt when a chinook occurs. I think this is what BoC were naming their song after. Its very neat.
